Concept, design, art direction, production coordination, copywriting
With a retro pop-culture theme throughout, the Curtis prides itself on having interesting twists on traditional hotel mainstays. I was tasked with maintaining a fun and lighthearted approach toward everything from the most mundane way-finding parking garage signage, to a large-scale ad presiding over 14th Street in Downtown Denver.
Providing delightful surprises at every turn, while upholding the retro pop culture theme of the boutique property, meant thinking outside the realm of traditional messaging and materials. I created custom illustrations and on-brand copy, working with signage vendors to print on vinyl, laminate, and even a 4-story weather-proof banner, to impart valuable information in new and unique ways.
